May Message from Dr. Risius
Posted on 05/01/2019
Dr. Susan RisiusDear Parents,
Another school year will soon be coming to an end! I continue to be amazed at the strong parental involvement in school activities, volunteering, coming for lunch, and conference attendance! It has been very evident that your child’s education is very, very important to you and that you value the home-school partnership! Thank you!
Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week is May 6-10. Thank you to all staff members for assisting our students with their learning this year! We celebrate their dedication to teaching and learning!
The last day of school for students is Wednesday, June 5. Various grade levels and classrooms have field trips and other end-of-the-year celebrations planned. Your child’s teacher will keep you notified about these events.
Two events for our Fifth Graders are the District Track and Field Day on Wednesday, May 15 at Woodbury High School and our Fifth Grade End of the Year Recognition Ceremony at 9:00 am on Tuesday, June 4 in the gym. After the ceremony, the Fifth Graders will spend most of the rest of the day at Ojibway Park. We will miss these students, and we wish them luck in middle school!
In early August you will receive an email from me to let you know who your child's teacher is for the 2019-20 school year as well as how to sign up for a 30-40 minute assessment meeting between your child and his new teacher. These two days are Monday, August 26 and Tuesday, August 27. The 2019-20 supply list is posted on our Royal Oaks webpage.
Enjoy this last month of school and have a great summer! See you in the fall!
