April is Autism awareness month! This month focuses on sharing stories and providing opportunities to increase understanding and acceptance of people with autism, fostering worldwide support.
Autism is a complex, lifelong developmental disability that can impact a person’s social skills, communication, relationships, and self-regulation. Autism affects each person differently and to varying degrees.
World Autism Day is April 2nd. Since there is no school on April 2nd, students and staff are encouraged to wear blue on Thursday, April 1st to show our support for autism awareness!
Mr. Falcon and Mr. Walker, two of our Autism Spectrum Disorder teachers, will be reading a story about autism virtually to our students, and sharing information in order to better understand autism.
